Pandemic Tapestries (19)

After many years away from weaving, I shared the minimal skills I’ve developed with my daughters and a couple of former students in Berkeley. I had no intention of weaving myself, but the yarn captured me and during the evenings of Pandemica, I found solace in the rhythm of the task. The Pandemic Tapestries Series, 19 in all for Covid-19, hang from black paper straws instead of chopsticks to separate them from the other tapestries. The black straws represent a less permanent support (though they are actually strong) in the hopes that this pandemic will be temporary.
